I often find it very difficult to understand what an escort is saying to me. Let me explain ....

I choose one and make the phone call. Usually the making of the actual appointment is not a problem. It's when it gets to the second phone call when you have reached the directed location that the problem can start, when she's giving me the instructions. The go left, straight ahead, turn around, third tree on the right, up the stairs, beside the car park entrance etc etc etc. Sometimes I find it very difficult to know what they're saying to me. Combination of them talking too quickly, maybe they've got poor English or maybe they've got good English and I can't understand their thick accent. It has lead to some frustration for both me and her on occasion or two.

So is that just me ? Am I thick in this regard or is it a fairly common thing ?

This has happened to me a couple of times, though I have quite bad hearing most of the time. I must say that sometimes I would prefer the escort text me the rest, especially in a location that isnt very discreet.

Sometimes I pity the escort who tours Belfast.
We have some very difficult accents to understand.
Even I find it difficult to understand my fellow countrymen at times.

Regarding escorts directions, I find these quite easy as escorts only seem to use five locations in the city centre.
It may be easy but perhaps a bit to predictable.

If an escort is running late, I usually walk around the block to use up the time.
Even when I call her for apartment number I usually do this when walking rather than at entrance to apartments.
This of course makes the escort slightly more difficult to understand.

I've experienced that with girls whose first language isn't English... but I can relate from another perspective so I always try to be sympathetic- I live here in the US & while I don't have a strong Irish accent, I regularly find myself slowing down when talking to escorts- esp to those you don't speak Eng as a mother tongue. Have a Scottish buddy over here, can get 85% of what he says.. but I reckon the yanks get about 30% of what the poor guy is spouting

That's the part I hate the most, I find it so frustrating sometimes I actually arrive stressed and need to relax, have a shower and take a moment to compose myself.
It's even worse when neither of us are that familiar with the area and the escort is just repeating directions she has been told to give..

However, having said that I have never had a problem understanding the directions. But, some accents can be difficult to understand especially if you dont have a lot of context.

Asking for directions is not something that guys are very good at. I know myself, that I have taken rather scenic routes (not on the way to escorts but more generally) because I did not want to ask for directions as I, of course, knew the way....

I had one lady txt me the directions once as well. It helped tremendously. On a related note, I once had a lady giving me directions in metric. "Turn the corner after 20 metres." Of course I was like - wtf?
