    Default new year, new home?

    Around the begining of December, myself and herself were having a quiet drink
    in our local hotel. After a while an elderly couple came and sat near us. We chatted
    and they seemed very nice. They told me that they wanted to move down the coast but they were unable to sell their house. At one stage he said "If I could only get what we paid for it!"

    Buying another round of drinks and thinking like a weasel, I braved "What did ya pay for it so?"
    "€38k" he replied. I offered him €40k (half joking) "Give us €5k today" and the rest in the new year.

    right, thing is, 1 he hasnt e-mailed me since the 8th of December and
    2 where is Carrickstown as its not showing on our Google earth v1.1?

    You need to upgrade to Google earth v1.2

    I can do this for you. It normaly costs 10k but you can give me 1k today and the rest next year

    haha! we were smart enough to insist on getting the keys first! that foolish ol' man...
    we paid them €8k-so we wouldn't just blow the cash on Xmas.

    Erm, are you for real here or what ? Carrickstown (or Carrigstown ?) is the name of the fictional area in Dublin where Fair City is set.

    So you paid 8k for a set of keys to a house in Carrickstown.

    You really do need that upgrade.
