Thread: Accused of underpaying

  1. Default Accused of underpaying

One morning recently I received a text from an escort telling me that I had paid €160 instead of €200 for the previous night.

Aside from the fact that I am a conscientious and honest person (seriously!), I am certain that I paid the correct amount. I had just been to the cashpoint and withdrawn €300 which came out in 3x€50, 1x€10 and the rest in €20 notes. I noted this at the time because I was expecting six fifties.

I sent a reply text saying something along the lines of "My wallet now contains €100 from €300 withdrawn last night so I must have given you the correct money, I'm sorry but you have made a mistake. I gave you 3x€50, 2x€20 and 1x€10.".

Her next message said "You gave me 2x50, 2x20, 2x10".

By this time I'm doubting myself but the facts about the withdrawal and the remaining balance can't be disputed.

My final message to her said "I'd never do anything like that intentionally so I'll try to see you in the new year and clear things up".

I'm probably being naive but I'd like to know others' opinions on the likelihood that she's trying it on.

    Thoughts please?

    P.S.
Should I disclose the escort's name?

    P.P.S.
I'm slightly annoyed that she texted me the following day, it's not exactly discreet!

Could be a genuine mistake but if you are sure then I would stick by your guns. She should have checked it. it's a bit naughty texting you afterwards. Next time ask them to check it before proceeding.

If you pay up front she will undoubtedly count it and as such there can be no dispute. Judging by your join date etc, you are probably new to the game: It sounds like you are being honest and straight up. she may well be making a sincere mistake.

I would say don't sweat it, if you punt regularly you will hit these little bumps once in a while.

Its only a text message, seriously how indiscrete can that be??

No need to name the girl, the site has your account of events now.

I would counsel you to let the situation go.

wihtout giving her identity away here, ask yourself do you think she is trustworthy. Has she been an escort here for a while with good track record of reviews or is she new.
If she has built up a good successful reputation, it wouldn't be in her interest to try scam you
Thank you all the ladies I had pleasure of meeting. Forever grateful for the memories

No names would be my advice.

I would find it a bit odd as if you were the type to shortchange her in the first place then you are hardly going to go back to give her the extra 40 so I am not sure what she hopes to gain by it.

The only prob would be that if you really did make a mistake then I am sure she will make it known to other girls. However, if you are sure that you did give her the 200 then I would not do anymore about it.

I always hand the money over in a way that we can both see how much is there.

Her profile went 'Susp' the following day. Does that mean voluntary suspension, i.e. she no longer wishes to advertise with E-I?

Are you 100% sure you didn't buy anything enroute to the appt etc?
I was in a similar situation a few months back .. it was my fault as I just plain forget about picking up some stuff before paying the girl,
IMHO although it is indiscreet of her to text you** , you really shouldn't disclose her name until this is resolved ( & *only* if it's ironclad that she was wrong, even then why start a shitestorm for the price of a round of drinks).
On the other hand, if there's any guys on here who you "know" & have reviewed her it might not be any harm to PM them <discreetly & ask for their silence too> & just double-check this isn't a regular stunt.
If she has a good reputation & there's even a hint you could be in the wrong, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt- never be dumb about money but that said, karma works in funny ways & the ladies do talk to each other..

** I'm new around here & not based in IRL- don't you guys use punter burner phones or ( prob only US available but what about ) 'Google Voice'- otherwise you;re leaving a trail of euro notes to your front door...

she may have just gone home. no longer advertising. I'm sure you'd have remembered though if she had plenty of reviews or not.
And if she is genuine, it is not worth her while to scam for €40. If she is not coming back, then i'd put it down to experience for the future.
I am not saying she is correct. I don't know.
