    Default Happy or Merry

    So is it Happy Christmas or Merry Christmas....Which one do you use......

    I'm always saying Happy but is that the right one........

    I prefer Happy. Can't give a reason.
    Although Happy is better than Merry. Eg: I'd rather be happy than merry.

    I always go for Happy myself. Merry just doesnt sound right to me.

    I've always used Merry Christmas.

    I think of Happy as being American, as in Happy Holidays !

    Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!At least this is the way they were used in all the English books,when i was studying it in school.
