seen a hot blonde in benburd st area,
plain clothes ban-garda.... nicked !!!!
brought to garda station & charged with soliciting,
appear in court mid january,
could do without wise-ass jokes,
just looking for guidance what to do next,
guilty plea? bring a lawyer? where can i hide in a courtroom?

I would say definately hire a legal eagle. May be a technicality/loophole they can find. As for publicity - unavoidable I'd say unless you're very lucky. At least it's a big city and not some village so court reports won't be printed in local papers.

Oooops. Well, you really need to provide more info. Were you in your car? Did you ask her for business or did she ask you? Could you claim that you were lost or did you discuss money? If so, pay the fine. They will have recorded the whole thing. Chalk it up to experience and ask for non disclosure when it goes to court under grounds of personal circumstances. You wont be the first, but in the UK you do normally get a caution for a first offence. Sorry.

I know I ain't the most knowledgeable member here (far from it) but escorting isn't illegal. Unless of course 2 or more escorts are working in conditions which could be constituted as being a brothel. That's not why barcode was arrested. Going up to hookers on the streets is illegal, or curb crawling as I believe it is called. As I said, I'm no expert in the area so I could very well be wrong, and if so I apologise.
