Is it morally acceptable to eat cat!!

In this day and age is it morally acceptable to eat cat???

I know it is popular in some cultures e.g China, korea, Limerick and Scotland, but in this day and age is it excusable on the grounds of ethnic tradition or insanity???

Is it even hygienic considering the things that cats prey on!!
(I myself have eaten a few things I would rather forget)
Although some do use alcohol based recipes that may negate this concern!
