I think if you habitualise (is that a word??) anything it can become monotonous, take a break. Come back to it with a fresh perspective, and maybe fewer 'business drinks'

We had a discussion before where it was pointed out that some people look for more than just a bit of fun. While I appreciate now what you look for, I think it is harder to walk away from this type of meeting.

I can appreciate your situation James, I've also been there myself.

Back at times when there was more money in my own budget, I couldn't go into Dublin without seeing an escort-- I had also developed a compulsion to go for a punt as a standard part of a visit to town, even if I'd just been for a punt a few days earlier-- I almost think I couldn't help myself! I'd even started making it a habit to have a wank right before going into town, to PREVENT myself from going for a punt every single time I was in-- you know, not going in with a 'loaded gun' and all that, and I found that it helped me break the habit/compulsion/association I'd had with going to Dublin. Basically, it was this for me:

Going to Dublin=Going for a Punt.

I'd turned into Pavlov's dog; hear the bell ring, and it think's it's going to be fed. I'd come to automatically equate a trip to Dublin with going for a punt, and though the punts I'd had were still (mostly) nice, I do look back at some of them and realize that at least a few of them were really almost totally out of compulsion to go for a punt more than anything else, and several of the ladies I'd seen on those occasions were my 3rd or even 4th choice, so I wasn't even seeing the ladies I really wanted to see. It's in this way that punting really comes across as an addiction more than a pleasant pastime, and I still feel it, even more so now, since there's recently been more quality ladies dropping into the North Kildare area, I now have to avoid temptation right at home!

At times I know how you feel.

However at this time I am still at the early stage of punting with the excitement this entails.

I do know however this may change.
I only hope this will be sometime in the distant future, as this is one of the very view pleasures in life that I have.
