    Default jeans...

Jeans have been a very popular product. First tailored for cow herders in America,
they've been here for hundreds of years. They are no longer a utility product,
but have become luxurious, with some pairs costing several hundred euros.

All types of styles, bootcut, skinny, baggy, comfort and all types of qualities.
How do you handle the perplexing choice? Designer or budget (pennies etc)?

I like bootcut, probably wearing that style for a decade now.

I've bought jeans for €100 and enjoyed them and bought pairs for €9

and because they were cut reasonably well-they were also a winner.

What do you think? Do you do that?

I beg to differ with this. The original name for jeans is actually Denim, which is a derivative of "De Nimes" ( from Nimes) a French city in the south of France who is famous (AMONG OTHER THING) for creating this famous stich wich is very resistant and made out of one thread.
As usual the yanks took a good idea, revamped it and made it their own.

I stand corrected, and will remember what has been learned. Some french entrepreneur must have
sent a few samples out west. The durable construction proved popular and Levi Straus & co was born.

I'd like to know why men's jeans sold in Ireland come in so few sizes. Waist sizes here are 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 or 40 inches.

On the continent, you can get odd inch sizes too. (Yes, on the continent, jeans are sold in inch sizes for waist and inside leg.)

So how come you cannot buy, for example, 33" waist jeans here?

My guess would be that retailers take the natives for granted.Remember, up until not so long ago, life was easy here. Maybe now they will have to review their marketing and selling techniques to provide something consumers actually want. A bit like a democraty( not that politicians give a damm about what the people want)
