    It dosen't take much to double check or even treble check the review is correct.

    But, while we have a preview function for forum posts and private messages, there is no such facility for reviews. It is much easier to spot a mistake in something when you see it displayed as it is meant to be read than when you can only view it in an authoring mode.

    That is a pretty well established aspect of user interface design. To relate that to the reviews here, when you are looking at the review form, your mind is in "writing the review mode" it is very hard for people to switch to "reading the review to see if it looks right" unless they can see a preview.

    It all comes down to the way that people's minds work and the idea that computer systems should be designed with that in mind so that users make fewer mistakes.
