Reviews - responses on ideas and changes to the process

Thank you very much everyone who has given input to how we can improve the reviews process. We have thought long and hard about all of them, and weighed up the pros and the cons of each idea. Here is what we have decided to do.....

Ideas we are not going to progress with and why....
* Ratted reviews to be deleted after 7 days – we dont delete reviews unless extenuating circumstances and this will not change.
* Making new users wait a set length of time before reviewing – amount of IT work to do the changes outweighs the benefit of the change.
* Making new users post 10 times before reviewing – amount of IT work to the changes outweighs the benefit of the change.
* 5 star review system – we already have the trusted reviewer process – dont feel the need to make change to this system
* New reviewers wait for them to contact us rather than PM – the system we have works, so dont see the need to change this, would probably end up with more on hold this way, than the way we are currently working.

Changes to be made to Reviews Process:

* Once a username has received 3 rats then we will no longer accept reviews from this user and the username will be banned. This will help in the future and reduce the number of ratted reviews.
* The time limit of 3 months to submit a review after the appointment time will be reduced to 1 month. Reviews submitted after this time will not be activated. This will encourage users to write their reviews much sooner, and hopefully remember details properly.
* Escorts will have up to 1 month after the appointment time to challenge a review by reporting it. We want to encourage escorts to read the reviews being left and report them as soon as possible. It is very difficult months down the line to check things out properly. Escorts are able to leave comments on a review at any point also to dispute this as they can now. Reviews are not deleted as a rule and only in extenuating circumstances would this be considered, and will be at the discretion of the Managers.

I hope so. If the time limit is being reduced to one month, which I think is a good change, then I think it will be necessary to allow reviews after the escort's tour ends. Otherwise it becomes difficult review escorts who don't tour Ireland all the time.

Yes, but its not something that will be a quick change. It involves techie work, and needs to be approved by them first.

This rule has me a bit puzzled
If a user name gets one rat and its proved to be a fake, why then does he get two more opportunities to enhance or damage an escorts profile.

Well, with this rule in place, it should deter them in the first instance knowing that there will be consequences for their actions.

But why not ban them after the first review. Why do they get a second and third chance.
