Question Anyone here know anything about Cyprus?

Is the economy any good? Good place to live? I have an offer to move there to train with a guy from the US ,who has being living there a few years but he would tell me its great anyway. Dont really know anyone who knows anything about Cyprus apart from where it is.

My thinking is its part of Greece which means its fucked,

Cyprus is a great place to live with sunshine at least 300 days a year.
They are very dependent on the tourist industry and I know from speaking with a friend that lives there, that the industry has been very quiet for over a year. It's not as bad as Greece but property prices have dropped and Cypriots have experienced the same problems Ireland did 9 years ago when the euro came in.
If I had a job offer, I would move to Cyprus today, why wait till tomorrow.

The bad news is that the Cypriot economy is closely tied to that of Greece. The good news would be pretty much everything else.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

Yep Cyprus is a lovely place been there a few times over the years.
If you get the chance to go I wouldnt be waiting around.
Weather is lovely all year round gets very hot in the summer.
The local people are very friendly. But on the down side property isn't cheap and the cost of living is high.

I think you and Monkeynut are talking about different Cypruses. It's a divided country, with a Greek half and a Turkish half.

You should really talk to a Cypriot about this. For example: Lilly, Cork Female Independent Escort, profile on Escort Ireland
