    I think Danny is partially right. Inappropriate speed can kill. But lets face it every time we turn on the news its some idiot driving like a lunatic at 4 in the morning probably drunk or on coke that causes the problems.

    Who is killed at 40kmh (limit 30kmh) along the Liffey at James Gate?
    On the M50 at 120kph where it is 100kph?
    I don't believe anyone.

    Why not put up cameras on dangerous spots and the put up big signs saying this is a dangerous spot?

    Is Dr Love and his M5 at 100kph not safer than a 10 year old Micra at the same speed?

    When you take the human out of policing you that out the common sense also.
