I don't know where the 97% number came from. Numbers I've seen range from some showing men being about 50% more likely to be unfaithful to others showing women slightly more likely to be unfaithful. Of course, men are much more likely to be unfaithful with escorts than women are.

I had a quick google search.

Now I know this is not exactly scientific, but there seems broad consensus across a few sources that infidelity is pretty well split evenly between the two sexes.

With the greatest of respect Doc, I have learned from you that for many here, that is not true. Many do appear to seek an emotional connection with the girls. I think it's the girls that are better able to separate the physical and emotional aspects of a quick roll in the hay.

You try and make a physical and respectful connection with a escort ,an emotional connection takes a little longer I feel.

I'd say there's about a 50-50 split in the amount of cheating. Marriage seems to me to be a very imperfect concept, especially post-1960s/The Pill where women are more in control sexually.
