uploading pics

OK I know its probably been posted many times before but can someone briefly tell me how to upload a pic from my pc onto a post. I know how to do links but a pic onto the post is just not hitting me in the face.
I tried to do it via an attachment but then it tells me the pic is too big. Can it be done.
Maybe its a blonde day.....Cheers.

You are on the right track, it's just as it is on the tin, the pic you are trying to upload is too big, try opening it in paint first and resize it there, then upload it.

Ok, first when replying to the thread click Go Advanced, upload the pic from your pc, then click preview post, click on the image in the preview and it will open, copy the url of the image and click the back button, then delete the image from the post and now insert the image again but this time instead of inserting it from your pc select from URL and paste the address you just copied in there. That's it really.
