I can't see this one escalating much beyond Korea. Even North Korea's only semi-ally, China is wary of the lunatic Stalinist regime there. The Americans and Chinese need each other far too much to fall out over this. The only simpathy that North Korea would probably get is from places like Iran, Sudan and maybe Hugo Chavez.

For the simple reason North Korea has Seoul as a hostage, they have thousands of rockets and artillery pieces, all dug in in caves and trenches all aimed at that city, they could rain it with shells at a rate of 100s a second it would be worse then a nuclear bomb.
