Yikes....and to win so much will make it even more difficult...Do a Basil Fawlty on it and let your wife find the dough...then you wont have anything to bet with.

(pathetic I know ... but its the best I can to in the heat of the moment)

Don't do it. Put the 1000 in your wifes account and under no circumstances go into another bookies. You will not win again and you have worked too hard to let it all go.

Spend it all on a BAD ASS DOM!!

Several hours of getting some harsh treatment and you will never do it again!!

Hard to have sympathy with someone who bets against their own Nation!

    TRAITOR!!!
(but who do you like in the 2.30)

(I imagine being serious you should seek the advice of a addiction group.Best of luck)

Gambling addiction is similar to drug and alcohol addiction in that it is chronic and progressive, and also can be treated. The difference lies in the fact that gambling addiction is usually harder to detect in people, since there are fewer physical signs. Pathological gambling is usually categorized by either action gambling, where a gambler needs to feel the thrill or risk of the bet, or escape gambling, where a person, much like a drug addict, uses gambling to escape from certain issues in his life. Either way, a gambling addiction grips people psychologically much like a drug or alcohol addiction, and can be just as dangerous.

    1. Financial Consequences
    2. The most obvious consequence of a gambling addiction is the financial losses you are going to suffer. Unless a gambling addict repeatedly hits slot machine jackpots or powerball lotteries, it is mathematically impossible to make money in the long run. In other words, the more someone gambles, the less chance he has to win. The odds are simply too stacked against you. Once a gambling addict begins losing money, he will most likely continue to bet, or increase the amount of bet, to recoup the money he has lost. This is known as chasing your losses, and it usually only leads to more losses. Soon, a gambling addict will use the money that normally was set aside for living expenses to gamble, and that will have long-reaching consequences. Also, many gambling addicts find themselves digging deeper and deeper into debt, which only fuels their desire to gamble more, as they feel that is the only way they can get out of it.Family and Friends
    3. The more a gambling addiction takes hold of a person, the more he will begin to alienate himself from family and friends. He will try harder and harder to find an outlet through gambling, and usually will verbally attack or resent any family member or friend who tries to help him with--or even points out--his problem. Soon, gambling will overtake family and friends in order of importance to an addict, and he may even go out of his way to push those people away from him.Destroys Confidence
    4. While some may say that losing builds character, repeated losses in gambling will almost certainly lead to a loss of confidence in a gambler. What is ironic about this is that many gamblers believe that it is unshakable confidence that helps a gambler make the best decision at the proper time. Once a gambler begins to second-guess himself, they say, then that gambler is in serious trouble, because he won't be able to make a decision with confidence.Criminal Activity
    5. Degenerate gambling can lead a person down a criminal road where he needs to rob, steal, hustle and scam for money to feed his addiction. It also is common in areas near strips of casinos to see people panhandling or begging for money.Death
    6. Ultimately, a gambling addiction can lead to death. Not through an overdose, like with alcohol or drugs; but indirectly, when one loses his job, can no longer pay his rent or mortgage, and is forced to the street. Or more directly, such as if a person finds himself in so much debt that he commits suicide because he sees no other way out.

Its a slippery slope Benny. You did so well for the past 12 months it would be s shame to fall back in to the habit now. Maybe if you come online any time you feel like having a bet. You are well liked and well known here so there would surely be someone here to talk to and maybe take your mind off it.
Failing that you could visit one of the many beautiues here who would be more than happy to reieve you of the extra gambling cash .
I have not been affected by the gamvling bug myself, but I have seen friends and neighbours whose lives have been turned upside down by it. The only advise I really have is to try and surround yourself by as many friends as you can and try not to listen to the devil on your shoulder.
PM me any timr Benny if you want to chat dude.

Sorry to hear that, probable the worst thing that could have happened, was to win.
I think you should just accept that you made a mistake, learn from it and move on.
