i had 1100 euro on new zealand -16 points to beat ireland ..i won 1000 euro but the point is im afraid im hooked again...i managed to walk away yesterday without a bet but i fear im back to the old habit anyone got any advice ...feel free to pm or post here thanks.
How on earth did you manage that?

Last I heard, the odds offered to New Zealand were unheard of here - 8/1 on or something like that.

If I could have got those odds I would have put far more on than that.

Actually, i wouldn't, and don't you go back. Keep postponing your next bet - one day at a time. After a suitable period has elapsed, reward yourself with something.

    But DON'T go back

Firstly tell our wife the truth.
Secondly both of ye go to an addiction counsellor.
Thirdly find gamblers anon. And keep going back.

I'm not sure many here realize the severity of this particular addiction!!
Food and Gambling are the two hardest addictions to treat!
    Food- You have to eat.
Gambling- purely adrenalin fed! Nothing taken!

    You got my pm.

I really hope you have a sponsor and a support system in place!!! Meetings Meetings Meetings!!

I've dealt with the alcohol side of addiction.

you cant beat yourself up because you fell,
you just have to get back up again.

Its very rare someone can stop without failing at some time...

the danger is in allowing yourself to believe that the occasional failure is ok.
If you knew me better, you'd hate me even more.

I don't know enough about addiction, Benny, to offer any advice, but admitting you have a problem is a good start to resolving it.
You know you can beat anything if you have a strong will. Good luck.
