Default Anyone else thinking of emigrating ?

It's been a long time since I posted here. Let's just say that I've been a wee bit pre-occupied.
Having been given notice of redundancy I now find myself set to leave my country again. I lived abroad for many years before but came back to my country to settle, buy a home & live amongst my own.
Alas I am a broken man though. The fight has left me. I have been very animated with my anti FF rants here in the past but now accept that my own people have repeatedly elected them & seem to at best accept schisters, liars, cheats, half-truths, rogues, scoundrels & cronieism.
I feel that I don't belong here now. I am an idealist, someone who hates all the above & have realised that FF are only a microcosm of this society & a reflection on us as a people.
I will explain this to my children when they are old enough to understand.
I am of the 80s generation that left almost entirely & now at 43 find myself looking to the greater English speaking world for my next domain. I doubt I'll return as swiftly next time.
I love this place & have always been a proud Irsihman but we are a broken people, a broken country.
This place needs to go back to 1922 & start over with people of real morals, ideals & who have both business & world experience. It's time to stop having fucking school teachers & family dynasties with none of the above looking after themselves & their mates, at the expense of all others. (the 3 most senior politicians here all inherited their seats from Daddy - Cowen, Lenihan & Coughlan - no experience of life before inheriting a very lucrative political career. 6 of the present cabinet are teachers - with all due respects to teachers, what the fuck do they know about running a country ?)
Amateurs all. But we elect them while still following some ridiculous, outdated civil war / family aliegences. The anger's gone though, the panic is ebbing & the acceptance is here.
Go n'eiridh an bothair libh go lear,
