Over the past few weeks I have been reading reviews to decide which escort to make an appointment with.

Occasionally I see a negative review amongst a long line of positive ones.

Upon further investigation of this reviewer I notice he may have posted around 30-50% negative reviews of his total.
His excuse - not receiving favourites on list.

Absolutely right - some reviewers are total assholes & it's obvious from what they write. I have in the past raised the issue of clients using the threat of a bad review as a means to gaining power or leverage in a situation with an escort. I have seen, on more than one occasion, the upset and distress that unwarranted and blatantly vendictive negative reviews cause for hard working concientious professionals who are operating independently and already have more than enough stress in their lives just trying to get by in this business.

We all depend on reviews to help us make decisions and, as has been said in this thread, we all (need to) learn to read between the lines, to review the reviewers, study their form. It is foolish to accept the words of an anonymous stranger who was able to sign up & post for free. On a site like this the balance of power needs to be shifted in favour of the escort. Presently they only have the (extreme) option of disabling reviews. I feel that there should be a middle ground: why not make it so that an escort has three choices on their profile: No reviews, Fixed form reviews only (i.e., the standard questions: photos accurate? apartment decent? etc), and finally the option of permitting free-form text reviews. Fixed form reviews, with the right questions and range of possible answers, should tell as much as the genuine potential client needs to know and avoid the need for the ugly spats and vulgar degrading language that all too often is tolerated here.
