I know this is a slightly off the wall statement from me, but I think old SIdharta has a point. The happiest people I know are children, and their happiness seems entirely down to the simple things. Perhaps when we start to pursue possessions we start the process of envy and greed.

I agree... I find myself regressing quite a lot lately. I must be hitting an early mid-life crisis!
