It is one of these where we need to think a little, Scotus has it right.

3-2 = 1 per 24 hours, so that would lead us to believe it should be 30 days, however remember it reaches 3 meter each day and then fall 2 meter each night, so when it has reached 29 meter, then fall 2 meter during the night, that is 27 meter, then next day it climbs 3 meter and thereby reaches the 30 meter and can climb up.

I still think after exerting so much energy each day climbing up 3 metres, not to mention the loss of spirit and moral from finding 2/3rds of his effort wiped out each day that the pussy eventually gets a case of the blues, made worse by poor pussy's dehydration and lack of food thereby causing poor ol said pussy to perish halfway up and never to be heard of again.
