    Default Sad films

One of the most sad films I have ever see is 'The Days of Wine and Roses' which starred Jack Lemmon, Lee Remick and Jack Klugman. An alcoholic falls in love with and gets married to a young woman, whom he systematically addicts to booze so they can share his "passion" together.

Jaws, it's about a misunderstood shark that just can't get a break, in the end he is hunted like a monster and forced into striking out at the hunters. Really sad that in the end the local cop just shoots him in the head when he's playing with his diving equipment.

also feel Philadelphia is a close second, it's horrible what some people have to go through

Schindler's List the young girl in the red coat

the young girl in the red coat portrays the utter innocence of the Jewish people, of all the people persecuted by Nazi propaganda, of their here-say crimes that fueled the hatred and prejudice that led to the millions of deaths.

She is the awakening of Oskar Schindler. She is his eyes being opened to the truth. She is shown in colour, in an otherwise black and white movie, because he sees her, finally he sees the truth.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.
