what An Don is trying to get at is that the watermark should NOT be an automatic process. Instead it should only be on verified pictures.

If you watermark everything it is harder to find the fake pictures as a reverse image search will pick up on the logo and give multiple false positives, thus making it harder for people trying to help the community to do their job.

who cares if someone lifts an unverified pic from this site, chances are they will do it from another site anyway if they don't get it from E-I

surely you'd agree it would be a much better place if punters could almost guarantee what you see is what you get

Like I say, if you want to know if the pictures are verified or not, look at the tick or the cross. Everything gets watermarked regardless to prevent people uploading the pictures onto other sites.

i am well aware of the tick/cross/question mark above an escorts photos and to their meaning. What people are trying to convey here is that we would rather NOT have unverified pics with a watermark. Who cares if someone robs an unverified pic from this site, that likelihood is that it was stolen from another site anyway.

an example of this would be Sexy Model (only using this it was last posted in fake pics thread) who had a verified pic even though she nicked it from another site as per this acted upon report.

you have to agree that it's better only to watermark the real photos, that way it's actually important to make sure they are not robbed.

    The first link doesn't work.

I think we are just going around in circles. Jackie has just found a picture with a watermark that had another watermark place on top of it, thus proving it as a fake and we have now removed the pictures. This is a prime example of why it's a good idea to brand every picture posted. The water mark is a good record to show the pictures have been uploaded on this site before, whether they are fake or not.

So now that we've has a few days to think about this and everybody finally understands it, and the way the system works................do we thing it's a good idea???

I mean, by allowing the watermark on every picture that every escort uploads to the site, you are in a way approving the use of these pics, all be it not verifying that they are the person who is using them on their profile. Is this really a good idea???

Apart from making it more difficult for members to search for fakes are you not worried about putting your logo on pics that may belong to someone else??? Or stolen from another site???

If I owned a site and someone has stolen the pics off it and I found them on a profile here, who do you think I would be coming after, the escort who uploaded them, or the site that allowed it and then proceeded to put their watermark on them???

This watermark does not approve the pictures, the green tick does.

It is standard for adult sites to watermark any pictures uploaded, be they genuine or not. It's to trace where the pictures have been used before, so it is unlikely E-I would removed this feature.

Yes Sam I understand the verification system, as does everybody else after going round and round in cirles about if for 3 pages I hope. That's not the issue and never was, it has nothing to do with it. I'm talking about E-I putting their logo on pics that may have been stolen from another site.........

Can we get over the verification thing, it has nothing to do with this issue...........

Either way, whether they've been pinched from another site or not, the logo automatically goes on the picture. These logos are not put on manually, but are added by the system as they filter onto the profile pages.

I don't think any photos should be allowed until they are verified.
Having the E-I logo on unverified pictures doesn't really make sense, as it gives the impression that they are verified to some degree.
