I can only go by what i know here in the Rep. Im not saying that trafficking doesnt exist but i still call bs on that being the main reason why guys go to indeps. Guys go to indeps because they hope they get a better deal, time etc not because of concern. If they were this concerned they wouldnt visit escorts period.

Ah now ur touching on the question of there being a moralilty within the whole practice of visiting escorts. I can only speak for myself and u can only speak for yrself. Whilst I have made my choice to "punt" I'm going to go all out to make sure to the best of my ability and knowledge that the person I am visiting is there of her own volition, and that it is business. Of course I know there is no failsafe, but choosing independents is my way of keeping myself satisfied that this is so. Not bs to me.

Well I'm a guy and I go to independents for different reasons than u suggest. Get over it man! I don't get this bartering over prices and wanting to stay for longer than u paid for. I see it in reviews all the time that the guys got to stay far longer and think it's great, as ifthey got a bargain. As far as I'm concerned I pay what is asked and when the ipod stops, I know it's time to go. Of course conversation might mean the time goes on a little longer, but it is necessary to be aware that the escort's time belongs to them and not take the piss

Agreed. After all, it is their time you are paying for, and it could be very uncomfortable for the escorts if people start taking liberties.

Not only is it important that the lady herself gets all of the fee but the girl is free to see whoever she wants, when she wants to see them and how many people she wishes to see on any given day. A lot of agency girls don’t have this basic human right which is simply wrong.

I agree with you Westie, but I think there are a number of reasons why most guys prefer independents.

What brought it home to me was when an independent escort who had initially worked for an agency said to me: - "When you go to an agency escort, you are a client of the agency, but when you go to an independent escort you are her client."

My perception of agencies is that they actually charge more in most cases then independents. The last time I did my Dublin price survey, at least 50% if not more of the escorts still charging €250 per hour were listed as agency escorts. So given that the split would seem to be 50/50 in Ireland, those escorts are actually getting €125 per hour. So even the independents charging €180 to €200 per hour are making more per client then an agency escort, plus the client is getting a better price.

The other problem is that many agencies seem to be using pictures of women who were either never working for them or no longer work for them. The escort does not control her own advert profile so that you can get favourites listed that the escort won't provide just to attract the clients. The escort has to see whatever clients the receptionist lines up for her, whether they are drunk or high, the receptionist wont care because she's not the one that's going to have to have sex with them. In addition, agencies seem to operate on the quantity rather than quality principle; get them in, get the money off them and then get them out as quickly as possible to make room for the next client, and as you say, you will definitely be working against the clock. In many cases the escorts will speak little or no English, so you could well have problems communicating what you want and you can say goodbye to conversation or light-hearted banter. It's the meat trade at it's worst.

In the case of the genuine independent escort, you know she is doing it for whatever reasons, but at least they are her own, she can choose when to work, how many clients to see, there is possibly a higher probability that all her favourites are on offer, some level of communication should be possible and most importantly you are her personal client and her reputation is her reputation. This should in theory, but may not necessarily always lead to a more accurate advertising profile, a more natural type of experience and better service levels, and finally more value for money. As you mention, in some cases, the independent escort may be more liberal with the clock because customer satisfaction and repeat business may be something which she values.

I can see why those escorts who are not able to organise themselves here due to a lack of English might go the agency route, but the only practical benefits I can see for the client is that they will get accurate details on how to get the incall location from somebody who speaks reasonable English and you probably wont end up being double booked because the receptionist is operating a traffick flow management system.
