I think he has a point.

But I think he has over simplified it and also exaggerated the male need for sex.

Having said that, I have to say that I do believe that in general we (men) want / need sex much more than women do.
I mean, in a traditional relationship, how often does the woman initiate sex? A fraction of the time the man does.
How often does, upon her initiation, the man decline sex? A fraction of the time (on a relative scale) that the man gets knocked back.

Single male gay friends of mine have the most active sex lives I know of.
If they want sex, they basically go out! Its virtually guaranteed.

I think it's tragic that the Observer couldn't see the extent to which he was obviously joking in the original interview in Attitude magazine. They are so po-faced.

Most men of the world will have had one or two GFs who they suspect or even know don't love sex and definitely see it as a trade off for having a committed relationship. Fortunately, most of us have had hopefully even more GFs who like it for the sake of it.

I love Stephen Fry, very funny man although out the 80’s and now he’s moved into making documentaries.
