If you thought I was going to say "anus", you're obviously a big gaylord
I find that straight men who are comfortable with their sexuality have no homophobic tendencies...

Agreed. I've been around the Village when visiting Manchester a few times with my gay friends and I've felt very comfortable and enjoyed myself.

Or are some women attracted to sub gay types for whatever reason?
With more and more str8 men hanging out in commercial gay bars, this is becoming less probable that women can hang out without being hassled (str8 guy's have sniffed them out), perhaps it's the cool music and the fact that in the republic the gay bars are predominately mixed gay & str8...

Do you think that sub-gay guy's would be hanging out waiting for str8 women to turn up?? p.s what is sub-gay btw

In my experience of going to gay clubs, I've kept myself to myself and just kept to the group, appreciating the fact that many women may go to these places to refrain from being harassed by straight men. As a straight man myself, I also bear in mind that in some aspects, I am a guest in a gay community, and respect this. I always politely decline advances of men just as I would if I didn't find a woman attractive, and carry on enjoying myself.

My first time going to the gay scene was out of curiosity really, not in a sexual way, but a cultural one. It also gave me the opportunity to spend some time with my friends that happened to be gay, and I enjoyed the company.

Ah the gay bars,I dont know what they are like elsewhere but the one I used to go to were full of stereotpical gay music, Queen, Boy George Frankie goes to Hollywood etc. Good laugh in there though I must say, Free condoms and lube on every table and a few guys asking me in to the toilet cubicals with them (I wonder why? lol)

All in all dodge music , but hardly any cues for the bar.
Free condoms, but avoided the toilets
Other than that had a great night.

Saw my boss in there too boy did his face go red when he saw me there

Yeh I hear they play lots of 70s and 80s music in gay bars........sure as hell beats the techno crap that you get in most clubs these days. Only good night I had in a straight club of late was in one that caters for the African brothers and sisters on a certain night....at least you could dance or shake your arse on whatever to the African sound.

By sub gays I was refering to those of a more effeminate disposition.....submissive or bottom guys if you will. I thought you would have understood my drift.

lol, do you assume that if a guy is effeminate that he is passive (bottom)?

That might generally be true, but it doesn't mean that a straight man can't be moron enough to feel sexually threatened by a gay man, especially one with a strong personality. On the flip side, I like girls, but dominatrixes scare the living shit out of me
