    Default Personal Space

There is nothing I dislike more than going to a restaurant where the tables are close together and other people are literally in your face. It's the same on a bus, train, club, shop or anywhere at all except in bed. Does anyone else become as irritated as I do about this invasion of personal space? I also feel so very uncomfortable when I meet people for the first time and they give me a hug or a kiss on the cheek as it makes me literally cringe. I realise that these people are really friendly and mean the very best. Perhaps some psychological reason for this or maybe normal for some people. Not at all sure.

I used to live in Santander- it is normal to kiss when you first meet someone- which, as a quite reserved person, took some getting used to. What was amusing is when I popped home for visits, as I was so used to kissing I did it automatically. The look of abject horror on some faces when I went to kiss them was amusing.

Yep, personal space is very important. One thing that irritates me is the way some men put their hands on your shoulder.

On another note, Luce. Based on all your posts on E-I I would never have considered you a reserved person lol
Thank you all the ladies I had pleasure of meeting. Forever grateful for the memories

Ah, perhaps Lucy isn't. I am, slightly. It should be remembered I wasn't always an escort Rodders

we all need our personal space everybody its like a personal bubble around u if someone comes too close they burst it & things become uncomfortable I would react strongly really & friends of mine know but some people would anger me as they dont get the message maybe it stems from living on my own but I do love hugs & kisses even from people I meet for the first time especially if shes busty & good looking & rubs up against me....

I was at the checkout in Tesco recently and this fella behind me was stepping into my personal space he was almost breathing down my neck and kept bumbing into me as if to push me forward. I found this very uncomfortable but was not going to intimidated or pushed by anyone so planted my feet and didnt budge and only moved forward when I wanted to. When I paid and was about to leave I decided to challenge him but when I looked at him realised he was special needs so forgot about it.
