I always give me real first name. But it's a common enough name, so there's no reason not to.

I use my real first name too. If i have chatted with them here I'll say its fiatpunter.

The question you should be asking is do we care what your real name is? I couldn't careless what a punters real name is, and I often get a blank look from guys when I ask them what's their name. I will then reply, "Make up one, it is more polite to address you by something other than 'Hey you, asshole." I smile when saying this.
