Yep but what i dont get is when prices go up in a supermarket or insurance or whatever ppl just pay and say nothing or say "oh its gone up alot". Yet a personal service like escorting is almost insulting if these same ppl ask for a discount and dont get it. Almost like its a personal vendetta against the guy for not giving a discount.

maybe it's because food etc from a supermarket or insurance for your car are essentials (providing you have a car), yeah you can shop around but you MUST eat. An escort recently asked me how much i wanted to pay ;-) With another I had intended only staying a half hour but it was never actually mentioned and we went way over. Yes but if a guy is going to punt he is going to punt as well. The first three charge by %. A % of the overall cost of the job which isnt decided until the Architect and bith QS's sit down and agree the cost on completion of the works. Nor syre about the other three. Still though none of what you mention have such a hands on close up service.
