Why I am unwilling to be kept waiting

Ladies, I know that you do your best to have everything ready for an appointment and I know that it is not always possible for you to do this but please, be understanding of clients who will not wait.

If I visit an independent escort who is of age and willingly providing services, I am not breaking the law and I am comfortable about that. If you tell me to turn up at a certain location and then to call you at an agreed time then I will do just that. If you then tell me where to come to meet you: that is fine.

If instead, you tell me to wait for a few minutes, we have a problem. If I wait, I can be considered to be loitering in a public place for the purpose of paying for sex. That is a crime. If you have to ask me to wait, I will not. Sorry, I know that is hard on you but it is also hard on me as I will not get to see you.

Perhaps you think that I am being needlessly paranoid but consider a situation such as this:

You are working in one of Dublin's many apartment complexes and one of your neighbours is unhappy about what is going on and has called the guards. If you are independent, there is little or nothing that they can do about you but they could just hang around and wait for a man to turn up and make a phone call. If he then hangs around for another five minutes, receives a call and then goes to the door and rings a bell, they have him. A check on the cellphone records, a google check of E-I profiles and phone numbers, a charge against the client, a prosecution and a newspaper report and that building will no longer be considered safe by clients. The guards will consider that they have done a good job. The probable trashing of the client's life is just collateral damage.

So, if you are not able to be ready at the agreed time, please do not be surprised if I tell you that I do not wait.

If you know that you will be a few minutes late, call me or text me to let me know. I will then just take a little while longer to arrive and all will be well.

You should probably make this clear when you call to set up the appointment. Escorts are used to guys turning up late, and won't generally be expecting one to arrive on time and then leave if they aren't ready. Also, you need to tell them that it's okay to call or text if they are running late. Otherwise most will not, since they don't know if you have a punting sim.

Although i have been in situations where this has happened, i recently had an appoinment were i was 20 mins early. Can understand where sharksin is coming from, esp if your visiting a known appt or complex. Its always a fear i guess and since im a newbie i maybe am a bit paranoid. Usually when i ring to say im outside i do so from around the corner and dont park nearby.

Still on my last punt i think i met every resident in the complex as i left , just put my head down and walked out hoping no one knew me

The Garda is obliged to state why he has detained you. If he has not witnessed you breach the Peace he does not have ‘probable cause’ and you have no reason to talk to him. Remember breaching the peace means to break common law.
You might then go on to say...
“I am reserving my right not to talk to a Garda who has not witnessed me breach the peace”
They may say they are obliged to ask for your Name or ID but you may ask-
“Am I obliged to give you that information” – You are Not.
Basically don't give the garda your name or phone you haven't broke any laws, don't be rude or aggressive give the garda respect.

The guards can't just show up and arrest you for loitering. In theory they could ask you to move on, but even this is very rare. Just act normal, go around the corner to a shop or something, have a smoke if you do that, and generally behave like someone who is not waiting for a phone call from a prostitute.

I have to agree with you Rayden. Delays happen sometimes, on both sides. The important thing is to let the other person know as soon as possible. As Gordo said, find a shop and browse the dirty mags, go to a cafe, pub, hotel and relax.
I always carry a newspaper if I'm going to a new location, so if I have to wait around, I can be reading the courts section to see who has been done recently for loitering.
