I would think in recession times there are those that could perhaps more comfortably pay for cam, it would help those girls who needed the extra income, and the website would increase traffic by a million percent (not to mention profit).

I think it might be a good idea if you could implement it and girls went on there. I'm not sure they would though, also you don't want escorts to feel like they have to go on. I can see people repetitively asking escorts to go on cam, which might be unfair.
