RESPECT for Escorts on E-I

Hi,

This is not directed at anybody or related to any particular incident, just something I was thinking today, following various things that have happened over the last month or so, and wanted to share.

It is tough being an escort. And unfortunately escorts aren't always shown respect in this world, by clients and various others.

But I think escorts deserve respect here on E-I.

I don't expect all the members of this community to go around with kid gloves on when it comes to escorts. For example, if there is a heated debate and an escort is dishing out harsh criticisms, she has to expect she may get the same back.

But there are times when we find a user of this website being abusive or even threatening towards an escort, for example calling her a "slut" or a "whore" in a very disrespectful way. And I really don't think this is acceptable.

I can't change the world, but E-I is my little domain, and I want escorts to be shown respect here.

So please could everyone remember at all times that all escorts deserve respect here. It's a big bad world out there, and it can be a tough life being an escort. Escorts should not have to put up with people not being respectful towards them here, on a website they essentially pay for.

And if you are an escort and you are not being shown respect here, let us know. And if you are someone who doesn't show respect to escorts, don't be surprised if we come down on you like a tons of bricks.

The other day on a post one lovely punter said he had some extra reasons for me to feel 'worthless'. He doesn't even know me, has barely spoken to me, and has never met me. Way to make escorts feel safe.


You punters will NEVER know what it is like to be an escort, you can't even begin to imagine what it is like, so show a little humility and respect those people that let you be so close to them.

Punters want to be respected by escorts........so does the escort.......but unfortunatelly does not happen that always from either side.........life is to short and as pat said its a bad world out there is no need or point being bad towards each other in here....

Thank you for a sharing your thoughts. I agree whole heartily with you. I always have and will continue to show respect to all escorts. It just good manners, and people who use slang or abusive language in describing escorts obviously have issue around how they see themselves and as such will transfer this to others, in order to deflect from themselves. I often think that it’s a privilege for guys like me to meet such beautiful women who are willing to engage us with our requests and deserve only total respect in return. I always believe treat others as you would like to be treated.

Of course we should all show respect to each other at all times, escorts, clients, everybody, but unfortunately it is not a perfect world we live in where everybody does this all of the time.

I understand as well that sometimes debates can get heated and people can offend each other without there being real malice behind it. It is even easier to do this online than in the real world where you have a tone of voice and manner to go on as well as words.

But I just don't want it forgotten that this website is only here because escorts pay for it to be here, and I think we should all take a moment to remember that sometimes.

And whilst, for most of the visitors to this website, the escorting world is just a hobby, for escorts it is more than that, and it can be a tough life for escorts at times, and they so don't deserve to come on here and not be shown respect.

It is a nice idea, but knowing human nature like I do, it will last as long as it takes the resident troll to post something nasty and once again all hell will break loose. Kumbaya anyone?

My take on this is simple we can have heated exhanges with other users and row quite vigoriously,,however we are never likely to meet them.. with escorts it is different,,,we can meet them,,, we can get their numbers..users here are annonomous escorts are not,,,one could take a row or grudge to an appointment,,so i moderate my attitude to escorts for this reason....

It can be hard to have a good thread here without someone coming along and ruining the mood, but I think the point of this thread is something most of us get, and it doesn't hurt to remind ourselves sometimes.

Most people here (me included I'm sure) let their conduct slip at times, maybe because we are in a bad mood or stressed out, but we shouldn't ever let ourselves slip into being disrespectful to escorts. And if you see somebody being disrespectful to an escort, report that post, because it's not on. Nobody wants heavy handed moderation here, but people being abusive to escorts isn't something we should tolerate, we need to step on that when it happens.
