I have done all of the above. The best reason to leave your job is because you have found a better one. It's impossible to find yourself in other people.

Apologies if I am intruding on the thread but that is the truth. Many people would be a lot happier if they took this advice.

You have a ways to go on the buttering, benny boy. It's ok though, I am bringing my knitting needles to Galway.

Partly agree. There is no one best reason to leave a job, this depends on each person and their circumstances. Health issues, growing away from the job, wanting to do something totally different etc. is all reasons why you might want to change jobs. Agree with the other parts though, especially the last sentence. In the end you are responsible for you.

Spot on Luce, you won't find happiness anywhere unless you are happy first of all within yourself. But with a lot of money at least you can have plenty of fun trying :-)
Thank you all the ladies I had pleasure of meeting. Forever grateful for the memories

Actually Rodders, on a serious and most unlike me note, money makes no difference at all. You just end up unhappy in a beautiful cage that you made for yourself. Money doesn't buy happiness, just a very temporary reprieve from boredom. My two cents, anyway. I am an unusually happy person, and I find that within.

actually Lucy it is only through our interaction with others that we come to learn about ourselves..so..you can find yourself in another....we only become conscious of ourselves and our self through others...you also make it sound like you can only fall in love once but each time we fall in love it's different..or either that as the poet said "last time we fall in love is the first time"..............etc etc
