I don't know what the avatar was. I assume it wasn't anything grossly offensive to all that had to be immediately removed. But it seems someone found it offensive enough to complain. We all have different perceptions of what is sexy and funny and nice and what is gross, over-the-top, degrading etc. I sometimes remove things, not because I find them offensive, but because somebody else clearly has and I feel it is the best thing to do in the circumstances. My main point is though, there is no need to go mental over this and be rude and disrespectful to Samlad. He sent you a polite PM and was clearly not acting will ill intentions, so how about have an adult chat to him about the issue instead of this rage?

Fair point. I remember the avatar, it was bog standard open leg shots. No offence to the people concerned but in two earlier threads there were much more explicit pictures posted. It seems unfair.

I have seen the avatar and I must admit I did not find it offensive however some one has and Sam made a decision.
As Pat said Sam isnt an unreasonable guy and would have gladly took any advice or comments you had of the situation.
In my opinion starting this thread is just a method of shit stirring to get teh sympathy vote.
Talk to Sam and see if a compromise can be reached

I don't think that anyone attacked samlad, just questioned his judgement on this one.... maybe I am wrong, but I would suggest a sense of cop on even when someone has pushed the edge of the envelope.

My view is the the posters attract the advertisers. If we piss off the posters, we will have what?????? iie?

I want this site to be successful, but I am worried about and have predicted the tipping point, after which there is no return..........

And there was no need to act on just one complaint. Common sense thing to do would be to cinsult with other mods or ask members for an opinion. Way over the top from Samlad. Act in haste and repent at leisure. Put it back pending negotiation or now that so many people are aware of the issue, have an opinion poll.
