easy Lucy, i've just polished of a bottle of wine and am enjoying the end of the greatest film ever Airplane!, this is me lightened up.

the reason I hate the congrats posts is that, before I joined these forums i use to have a little look see at this and another one (without the hyphen) and noticed that the other had pretty much 2 members that just told each other how great they were all the time. i feel that this site is a great resource for all but if it becomes a place just to give other members a slap on the back then I think it'll scare off any prospective new members. look at me for christ sake it's taken nearly 6 months before i started posting properly and even at that i'm still pretty cautious

to be honest, when i first signed up there were a lot of, for want of a better phrase "senior members", on the site that would just try and shout down new members with the usual bullsh1t of "look at my post count, you're a prick, you're post/thought are meaningless"

don't get me wrong I am not "afraid" of anyone or a good argument but when you see stuff like that and the congrats stuff i personally feel that a lot of people see this as a bit of a closed shop and wouldn't be bothered posting.
