I just glanced at the news last night and saw the protests, where a new Mosque is proposed to be built by the 911 site, personally I think it is an insult to the people who lost their dear ones and it is a bit out of taste. The lefty brigade naturally would see nothing wrong with building a Mosque there. Any thoughts.

It's an over attempt to show compasion, understanding, tolerance and to be politically correct.........

Yes they killed out innocent civilians in this terrible attack on your nation on 9/11, so yes, we went and bombed the shit out of them, but look how understanding we are, they can build a mosque on the site of the attack, this will surely show the world our compassion and justification for our actions, that it was not bourne from hatred, but from necessity.

I think the way it has affected us the most is that it allowed the fundamentalist Christian right to take over the running of the USA, and the world is a much more dangerous place now
