You see, your voice in this case is a voice of reason.
A woman like myself, when ordering things / shopping, doesn't have much reason

I always do that when I go shopping too.
Buying those purple pumps because they look nice. Buy also a dress that goes with the shoes.
In the end, the purple shoes and the new dress will be given to charity, because I'll be still wearing the old sandals and jeans ...

Just an example But you are right, I could do that from now on.

Landlords who don't allow a satellite dish are stupid bastards.

Whatever got that idea into their miserable puritan heads I have no idea, I don't know how it ever became "cool" not to allow people to put satellite dishes up.

It doesn't have to be an extravagent one, even small satellite dishes will receive sky, you could have a mini one that you don't even have to drill holes for. Them and their bullshit aesthetics, as if anyone's going to be looking at the outside of the house anyway (and the satellite dishes are usually an IMPROVEMENT to how it looks), what a load of bullshit.

I like the music channels as well. With Sky you get 28 or so.

Is it not one communal dish that serves all the properties karin? with each property having a connection to the main dish.
makes sense having 1 dish serving multiple properties than everyone having an individual dish.
You just pick what package you want and sky zaps your smartcard.

I know you cant have your own dish but for anyone else a motorised dish system with a "cracked" card serves sky and many other stations and is the most cost effective prime time boxing, live footie and 24 hour porn

The only thing is that you need a separate LNB for each connection, you can't all tap into the same LNB to receive different channels like you can tap into cable. That's why Sky+ has two LNBs, so you can receive two different channels at the same time.

It is legal, easy to get, any issues about it etc ...

I had a look on the net but what I found confuses me.

I always get Sky or UPC, the biggest pack they have and I end up watching a music channel but paying a hefty bill, so maybe paying once and get it over with is a solution for me.

You pick up the cards handy enough once you have the sky box but u can be lucky and unlucky . I had one that lasted for a year untill sky changed freq. and then i got new one and it only lasted two months coz sky changed freq again.

    Westside.

You see, when I move someplace I have to take in consideration lots of things.
Television providers are a little bit secondary issues. Nice to have them but it wouldn't be a deal breaker with me.

Also, moving all the times is expensive and tiring.
Leaving before my contract was up just made me lose 4 weeks advance rent and 4 weeks deposit.
If I move from here too, another deposit ... Plus all the days that I have to clean and arrange the place, in which I can't work either. Plus changing again the address for all the banks and credit cars providers ... Closing down phone line if I got one, subscription to Internet etc ... you get the picture.

I like it here, I can see myself staying for a while. Also, I have sorted out now the Sky little problem, I am getting Sky once off payment totally legit next week

P.S. I just realised now I lost about 5 K in deposits only since Dec 2008, only for moving around so much
