Any good authors??

recently picked up the novel again and am reading ian rankin whos novels were the basis of the "rebus" seris. great reading and a lot more to the books than the shows but sadly have almost read them all. so any suggestions for any other good crime authors??

Chapter 4 is a bit turgid,when the protagonist develops a falsetto from kissing Lucy who passed on the voice mutatanting virus having kissed a langer at lunch
