    Default Legends of Rock

Who are your favourite rock legends and why?

I think the best rock vocalists have to be Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie James Dio (RIP Dio!).

Dave Grohl is brilliant all round instrumentalist too! You should see him in the film 'The Pick of Destiny' (Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D fame) - he plays the Devil. Check it out! :YouTube - Tenacious D - Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown)

    Legendary!

Not nesessarily my favourite, but I am listening a lot to Roger Chapman in his Family days.

    Amazing voice.

I don't know if I am just showing my age here, but I do believe the late 60s/early seventies was blessed with vocal talent - Chapman, Plant, Rogers, Ozzy - even Noddy Holder had an amazing voice

I agree with you there mate.

Gary Moore also, and Mark Knoffler had a cool, effortless voice too. Let's not leave out David Coverdale, though!

I have to agree with all of those Westie! Not a keen Limp Bizkit fan though.

The word rock is used too loosely today i think. Everyone that picks up an instrument is rock. I wouldnt consider Queen rock in the true sense of the word either and i have seen Joel called rock before. Sabbath to me are not rock but metal but they are called rock, Gallagher seems to be more classic blues than rock.

All called rock at some stage though,
