Thread: What to do and see in Dublin

  1. Default What to do and see in Dublin

    Hi!

I'm travelling to Dublin in a couple of days, going to stay from Friday to Monday. We're four guys, and not too familiar with what there is to do and see in Dublin - except for going to the Guinness Skybar... any recommendations?

    Oh, we're Norwegian.

Trinity College / Book of Kells worth a look.

If you're into art the national gallery is not too bad and just around the corner from trinity (skip the modern art musuem though).

If you can, a trip to Glendalough in Wicklow is well worthwhile - you'll see an example of a round tower built to keep vikings like yourselves out!

To be honest though, I'd suggest you do what the rest of us do here - find a good pub and get smashed!

There are 257 escorts in Dublin at the moment, that should take a few days.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. Looking for things to do on tourist webpages only give you the same places - I prefer to see cities more from the locals point of view - so getting smashed at the pubs it is!

All of your feedback is much appreciated.

Open top bus tours are good fun, as long as its not raining.

Oh, golly yes, you must go and see Trinity College. A more beautiful building I cannot think of. Also, I think the barlife is the best in the world.
