Two days ago I was listening to a piece on radio 1 during the news at one about a woman who was involved in what she described as 'indoor prostitution' for 20 years. I found it disturbing to say the least and don't doubt she has had an extremely hard life. On thing she said stuck with me, "there is no such thing as an independent escort."

I think you're reading too far into this. If she was married and her husband wasn't working, she may have felt that she had to escort to provide for him, so wasn't really independant as in working for herself......

She may also have been talking about doing it for her kids, again to provide for them, so wasn't really just working for herself.......

Not necessarily about a pimp or an agency boss.......

are any sure fire ways (besides reading the profiles) were you can be sure an escort is definitely independent.

To be honest with you I'm not bothered either way, as long as she'd doing either of her own free will, and is not deceitful about it when it comes to advertising..............

I have a series of rules.

- No dodgy photos, photos on a bed, or a couch or taken on a camera phone. A lady who is truly independent will ensure she has professional done pictures.
- A lady who doesn't accept reviews, unverified photos.
- Of course I read reviews, things that are red flags are things like asking for extras
- A lady that clicks every favorite is a bad sign, if nothing else, she can't be good at everything.
- A lady that says she works 24 hours - thats crazy
- A lady who doesn't speak english
- Any lady from outside the EU, though I will make exceptions for ladies who have a lot of reviews
- Any lady who claims to be 20 or under, thats just too young. Actually I think under 24 is too young, but most escorts seem to add 3-5 years

Good rules and a great post earlier on the other thread . Maybe these rules could be made a sticky or added to the eejits guide.

one i would add is if the the number is an irish mobile and rings with out of country tone , i would also skip (but maybe thats just me)

Your post is spot on for most things, I would personally have a slightly different idea for the below points.

Long are the days when agency ladies did not have professional photos taken. Most of them role with the times

Also some girls are perfectly happy with non professional photos. I target though them a particular type of client (won't give details here because I don't want to go wildly off topic. I am aware and sometimes in sorrow that most of the punters here that are frequent posters would not visit me but this is the price to pay if want to get my targeted clientele.

Some girls can really do lots of things, I don't see what the big deal is. Some girls don't ... everybody with their own.

I am also inclined to say about the 24 hours schedule that is an agency sign 99% of the time, but I think here are also a few exceptions.
Someone pointed out to me a long time ago that sometimes this is just a way to cover an escort with a very irregular schedule, she just wants to make sure her phone would ring when she is available to work.

I am also inclined to say this is a sign of an agency. But if the english is bad on the phone and also bad in the room, it could be OK sometimes. Beware of the good english on the phone - bad english in the room scenario, this is dodgier.

I will second the opinions of the ladies concerning total freedom in the way they handle themselves. Any lady obviously not working to give herself time to breathe or have a piece of mind I would be scared for, but it could be attributed to a number of things. Lack of organization in bookings, booking clients too close together, workings 24/7, and the fear of setting boundaries to limit clientèle may say 'trafficked and traded' to some, but it can also say 'desperate and unorganized independent' and the reason most ladies go with agencies. I have a friend who considers her two sons her pimps, but she is not a working girl.

As for Mr. Fisherman's list I tend to agree with everything except the point about the pics, and having favorites ticked. With pictures, some men prefer the candid shots, however tacky they may be because you see the girl in a more natural light. Unphotoshopped, and closer to what you'll see when you walk through the door. Personally, my list of 'don'ts' is considerably shorter than my do's since I'm pretty open-minded, but the occasion on which they are performed doesn't depend on a tip at all, but more so your hygiene and my mood.
