That has happened to me many a time, I call a lady and the phone rings out or I hang up before it rings out and after a while I get a single ring on my phone and then it shows a missed call, obviously to let me know she is now available to take my call but never from a blocked number, whats the point in that

I know that the ladies in the biz can go through a lot of credit on the job, but maybe, in a situation like this, if they'd actually let it ring so the punter could answer it, then MAYBE she'd actually be able to get some business if she just let the guy answer! She's obviously got plenty of time on her hands if she's called back 10+ times! It also says something about how desperate for business some ladies must be, if they're actually taking to doing something like this. The days of escorts phones ringing non-stop must be behind us... And fair enough to ya to not ring back if the number isn't showing as well, I wouldn't bother either, no way to know for sure if it's the same escort, and besides, the ladies have the policy of NOT answering blocked numbers, they can hardly expect any different from us.

I've only ever gotten 1 call back like that, girl didn't answer the phone, and 30 seconds later she rang back, I answered it-- she'd only been in the next room and didn't make it to her phone in time. Ended-up setting-up an immediate appointment with her. If she hadn't rung me back, I'd have just moved on to the next number on my list, and she wouldn't have gotten my business, as I would've made a booking with the next girl I rang (or at least the next one that answered her phone and told me when she's available).

So for 2 minutes worth of the girls credit, she got a client booked for an hour appointment. Was it worth it for her to have rung me back? I'd like to think so!

What if I had just popped out of a meeting to make a quick booking for later that day, or if I didn't recognise the number and answered it while in company.. Single ring OK, persistant call, no way..

Fair point Anon, and I can completely understand and agree with that. I guess in the one and only situation of that I've had, I wasn't bothered because the callback was immediate, with her number showing, so it wasn't an issue for me-- I was out on the street by myself, not in the middle of something or surrounded by friends/colleagues. In the types of situations like you describe, however, I can totally agree that it would be a (potentially) serious problem, and certainly would be odd if she was ringing back hours after your initial call to her.
