Default A thread dedicated to The Beatles

For those of you who don't already know, I am a huge Beatles fan, and would like to give other followers of The Fab Four the opportunity to discuss anything 'Beatles-esque' in this thread.

Although the Beatles were before my time, I booked tickets to see the Bootleg Beatles a few years ago when they were playing in Southport, NW of England. From what I can see from Beatle documentries, footage and just listening to their music, I would say that these fellas are the next best thing!

Nice idea. I love the Beatles too.

Even if I do recognise their huge contribution to modern music, I was never their biggest fan, sorry.

I am not saying I don't like them, some songs are actually pure class (Hey Jude, Yesterday etc) but they aren't my first personal selection choice when it's comes to music.

Im funny with the Beatles because i am not a huge McCartney fan or Ringo Star fan but think Harrison and Lennon were cool. Having said all of that they deserve the credit that they get for upping the ante at the time.

I also think the Abbey Road ,album cover was a cool cover. Something very original about it.

I went to the Liverpool Capital of Culture launch in 2008 (I think..?) and saw Ringo on the top of Liverpool town hall playing the drums with his band. He sang a song, "Liverpool, I left you but I've never let you down", and ironically a couple of months later, he was on Johnathan Ross saying he doesn't miss Liverpool at all! LOL! He then posted that video saying 'NO MORE FAN MAIL - IT'LL GO IN THE BIN!'

He did go a bit mad though, didn't he? Haha! Good old Ringo!

A mate of mine has the original vinyl Sgt. Pepper album with all the pull outs and cut outs in mint condition! Bet that's worth a bob or two!
