I just had a quick look and it's not at all clear where to register, normally on a site you would have login details and beside that a register option but on this site it is down a bit, I'm used to this site and I even had to look for it, no wonder so many don't bother..

Yes, I don't know what the value is in borwsing without registering. Then you get access to all the posts. Which keeps you up to date.

If someone is registered and they find a thread brings up an item of importance to them , they could ask and make a point, to gain further knowledge but without being registered, they are relying on hoping that someone else asks the q or makes the relevant point for them.
Indirect benefits of registering,
(1) getting to know members better,

(4) improved typing and pc skills,

i used to be a lurker on these forums for a good while. No real idea as to why it took so long to register, perhaps laziness.
I am registered member but very often I read posts not logged in. Just log in if I dont forget to or I want to write post. Main reason is I never use option remember while logging in ( i dont know why maybe in case somedy steals my computer or somebody will use computer and then my account??I think I am bit paranoid)
