    Also, I'm not even sure that some of these guys are legal. It wouldn't be massively hard to set up a scam where you design and print off a thousand leaflets and distribute them to peoples' homes. Most leaflets I see have only a mobile number on them. Then you pick up the bags and flog 'em off as new at the market.

    The majority of clothes etc that these companies collect are sold onto rag merchants. The charity they claim to represent does no exist, and the money goes straight into someone's pocket. So, recycle the paper and don't bother sticking stuff on your letterbox, most are determined enough to ignore those anyway. I would have thought that littering only added to a different problem.
