Millionaire sues escort for £60,000 after she refused to let him turn her into 'Pretty Woman' | Mail Online

A millionaire property tycoon who attempted to 'save' a £350-an-hour escort and stripper is suing her for more than £60,000 after she went back to selling sex.
Inspired by the movie Pretty Woman, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere, Robert Brot lavished money on Lindsey DeLeon in the hope of convincing her to give up her trade.
Mr Brot, 57, offered to marry the 26-year-old mother-of-two and spent more than $100,000 in an attempt to help her quit a life of vice.
But unlike the Hollywood movie, which sees Roberts' character give up her life as a high-class escort after falling for Richard Gere, there was no happy ending for developer Mr Brot.
In legal papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Mr Brot claims Ms DeLeon conned him out of the money by saying she wanted to give up working as an escort.
Mr Brot paid for her to leave New York and return to her home in Oklahoma where he believed she was trying to find a job.
But he discovered she was still advertising her services on websites.
However, Ms DeLeon has claimed in the New York Post that Mr Brot was more like her pimp.
'He told me, "I'm going to show you the high life. I'm going to show you how to live." And he did.'
She claims he wrote online adverts for her and let her use his company car to meet clients. A claim he denies.

She also said that the escort work made her so depressed she tried to kill herself last year before ending their engagement.
'When I told him, "I absolutely am not marrying you," he said, "OK, too bad,'" she alleges.
'Within an hour, he shut off my bank account and kicked me out of the house.'
The pair met on an online dating site and Mr Brot became smitten with her.

According to court documents he knew she was in debt and struggling to bring up her two young children.
Mr Brot, who runs a successful property company in New York, arranged for the escort to move in with him and pay for her to train as an estate agent on the understanding she would give up selling her body.
Ms DeLeon also agreed to pay back Mr Brot when she was established in a new career, according to the lawsuit.
However, after moving back to Tulsa, Oklahoma, she got a job as a stripper and began advertising herself on adult websites

Since Mr Brot announced his intention to sue, another man has stepped forward to claim he was engaged to Ms DeLeon before she headed off to New York.
Mr Brot's lawyer Andrew Miltenberg said: 'He's got a really big heart, and he intended to help, rescue her.
'He fell in love with a woman, and he thought he was helping her turn her life around.'
Mr Brot's spokeswoman, Melanie Bonvicino told the New York Post: 'My client, Robert J. Brot, is very sympathetic to Ms DeLeon's young children, who are clearly the victims here, and as such, he expects to bring this matter to an amicable and speedy resolution for all parties concerned.'
In Pretty Woman, Roberts plays a high class escort who falls in love with her client, played by Richard Gere. He persuades her to give up her life of vice.
The 1990 film established Roberts as one of Hollywood's top female stars.
