IIE - gone??

Hi all -

Just wondering if any of you know what's up at IIE?

The site seems to have been down for a couple of days now - or perhaps its my new fire-wall acting up.

Has anybody else been able to access the site?

If anybody knows what is happening over there, I would be very interested in knowing - if you don't want to post publicly, please PM me.

Hi,

IIE has been down since sometime Friday.

We started getting calls on Friday night, as several ladies had taken out Paddy's Weekend advertising on IIE it seems, and were obviously let down, so got straight onto us to get their tours put up here instead.

I also saw threads in the UK complaining feline-escorts.com etc was down, so it is not just IIE that is down, it is their entire server, i.e. All their agency and all their directory sites.

I expect it is just a case of someone pulled the plug out by accident and nobody has noticed the mistake yet, and it will be back up when someone does.

All servers do go down sometimes for various reasons. We have staff working 7 days, so, if it happened to us, we would notice pretty fast, but if IIE don't, then obviously they might not. We also pay our hosts to monitor the server 24/7. They have an automated tool that checks it every few mins and alerts them if anything is wrong. They have a dedicated team working 24/7 and within minutes of anything going wrong they are always on it. It is pretty cool. Sometimes I get emails when I get in in the morning from them saying "At 3.26 a.m. program 34567 reported a failure. We restarted at 3.31 a.m. and the failure was resolved and has not reoccured since." and I think to myself very good, glad I'm playing these guys as I was fast asleep when that happened!

You are probably correct about the plug being pulled and nobody noticing - we'll see if its back up tomorrow.

Seems to be gone completely now! Pity as the pictures were more reliable but they were slow in updating. It looks like it is shut down now and we are back to one player again
