At least once a month, one of the Sunday papers will have an article about the sex industry and nearly always refer to this site. Last year they even had a couple of pages in their glossy mag. Before that I'd never even heard of this site. Thanks to them they opened up a whole new world to me. :-)

I'm sure this has been discussed before, but just curious the impact of the national press has on business.

What's the average number of hits per day on this site, and how much does it increase after an article is published in the paper. Do escorts see an increase in first timers.

It would seem that these articles are written to shock the public across the country from small town to city, but all it does is provide free advertising and increased business I bet

They may be inaccurate but I think for ranking sites and comparing them they might be fairly significant.

Alexa is one of the better ones yes but still innaccurate. It relies on things like toolbars and spyware to get its stats.

And you're right - it's much more accurate for ranking than for actual number of hits.
