We need to be clear about the rules for when we feel a thread should be deleted. This can be a difficult one at times, and should only be a last resort. At times discussions can get out of hand, and turn nasty, or discriminatory etc, and this is where we have to consider is it in the best interests of the community for the thread to be closed. Not everyone will agree with these sorts of decisions though.

I totally agree with that, not long ago on here one night a thread was shut because the mod who was overseeing it
wanted to go to bed and felt it might get out of hand so he closed it. Now i thought that was unbelievable in the first
place i assume if he wanted to log off he had no responsibility to monitor what was happening after that and in the
second place its like a guard seeing a young fella and saying u look like u might cause trouble so ill arrest u before u do.
All I ask for is consistency and fairness. I also feel if the debate gets a little heated some of the mods panic a bit and
cause they really dont know how to handle the situation they take drastic action

Thanks for your reply. Samlad and I are working on this with the moderators, to ensure more consistency and that they are aware of what we expect. Hopefully you will see over the coming weeks, that this will improve.

What i think needs to be taken into account here is that as we all know todays world is a very PC place,
in my opinion at times bordering on the absurd, but this is after all an adult site where people make a
personal choice whether to log on or not. My point is that u cannot govern this place with the same
strict set of values or rules that apply in the mainstream world, quite a bit of leeway needs to be given,
while at the same time accepting that certain boundaries cannot be crossed those boundaries in my
time here have very rarely been crossed. We have instances where people are reporting trivial little
things cause their cyber feelings are hurt, look this is a big boys club not a kindergarten.
The one thing i would say though is that Escorts that post are probably entitled to more protection
than ordinary members as i have seen ladies in the past take the brunt for all the ills within their
profession which is not all their fault. I dont want them taking all the flak just cause they were
brave enough to put their head above the parapet

Its not a big boys club at the min i got banned for a week for remarking that somone was a prick which was infact me just repeating what he was calling other members in his post but as he was a long term member i couldnt possibly say that without sanction and the person concerned didnt even have a problem to the best of my knowledge then of course the thread was closed and blamed on me... the moderators here seem to take it all too seriously if you ask me and are taking moderation into down right censorship which bit by bit is making this place no fun..

That thread he is on about became a slagging match between two ppl. It started as a review issue and ended as a slagghing match. I said i wasnt staying up all night modding two ppl going at each other and locked the thread. Im sure thats within the rules. Prior warnings were given on that thread as well and were ignored. Given the time this was going on at it was pointless deleting posts that would be put up again and on it goes. I thought locking the thread was the best option at that time.

There are two forum managers on here. Tell them what you think is right and they will consider it and im sure the mods can then follow those guidlines. You seem to think its so easy to mod, so simple but it isnt. Whats wrong for eg of having one thread with an issue on it and keeping the nasty stuff out of it? Take some of the recent threads following the weekend. I havnt read all of them because i had trouble satying awake looking at them but alot of them had more to do with attacking me than dealing with the actual modding issue at hand.

By all means, complain about me. By all means, think im wrong in what i did but by attacking me personally you are in fact attacking me period independant of E-I. I am not saying you attacked me by the way, i am only using the word "you" as a prefix to the rest of the example.

You see i have no probs ppl pointing and saying "he is wrong". I have no probs ppl complaining. I have no probs ppl saying "he shouldnt mod" even but i do have a prob with constant attacks that serve no purpose only to irritate me.

By the way, ppl use this site to converse with each other, just like speaking in a pub or the street. The conversation flows its own course and you rarely hear ppl saying "this is going off topic so lets stop and go back to what we were speaking about ten mins ago"

We all have different views on this because we all have different tastes. You will not find a universal rule to suit all anymore than youll find a universal conversation or topic that suits all.

Surely it boils down to the posters aswell to have respect for other users threads by not taking them of topic. I dont envy Jackie in this task as i can see a lot of "why was my post deleted " or "my post wasnt off topic" threads starting
