I see on other forums they have a shoutbox, it's for chatting but it's allways open like a banner on top of the screen, you can close it but by default it's always open, you have to register to see it so I'm sure other restrictions could be put in place such as only established members can see it. I can send you a link to a forum I know uses it so you can see what i'm talking about

I am just trying to get a feel for what people think, it doesnt seem to be used very much at the moment, and wanted to get an idea of its not used because its not what people want on this type of site, or because it doesnt offer then the type of chatroom members want.

Half the problem is people like myself tend to want to surf the boards aswell as watch the chat so if the 2 were integrated it might be used more rather than 2 seperate windows..
